The Civil Service Commission of the City of Toledo does not have a date established for the next Fire Fighter examination. We do, however, maintain an interest card database and will notify everyone in our database the next time the Fire Fighter examination is announced. Once the examination date is announced, the dates and times for you to file a formal application in person and pick up your study materials will also be furnished.

The minimum requirements for you to apply for a City of Toledo Fire Fighter position are:

You must be at least 21 years of age, but not more than 34 years of age on the date of the examination; and
You must possess a High School diploma or GED certificate.

All persons hired by the City of Toledo must become residents of the City of Toledo within six months from their date of hire.
